The icy water in Taylor River was unbearable when I waded it to climb Mt Garfield! But what are you supposed to do when there is no bridge.... Then I had to carve a step on the upper lip of the moat just below the summit pinnacle and hope it held when I put my weight on it. There will be no escape from the wet cavern sloping away down into the darkness if it doesn't. Fortunately it holds.
Will have more story and some pictures later...
