Roy and I camped at The Lake of the Woods and went over the Pistol-Lake saddle to climb Lake Mountain from the backside. There is a nasty looking tower on the summit ridge that Roy and I feared was the summit and we had no rope. Fortunately the actual summit was further north along the ridge so we didn't have to come back equipped to climb that nasty turret.
