I came to the 'Kendall Catwalk' on Day 10, the last day, of my 1991 hike of the PCT from Glacier Peak to Snoqualmie Pass. There were occasional patches where filtered sun broke through but the day was mostly dark and grey. It was the first week of July and the catwalk was completely drifted in with snow. It looked scary so I dropped my pack and, facing into the slope, I kicked steps across... then went back and ferried my pack over. Good for a little adrenalin rush but I was so exhausted from my journey that I didn't really care.
