I can sense the eyes of the party, on the upper edge of the Middle Cascade Glacier below, following my progress up the loose, tile-like flat slabby rocks on the lower part of the steep northwest ridge. I am trying to be very careful because most of the rocks, are loose and clatter much like when one walks (carefully) on an actual tile roof. I am determined that I am not going to loose my footing and fall... as I suspect those below are half way expecting me to do.
