Pyramid Mountain is the first big peak on the west side of Lake Chelan that is seen when one takes "the Lady of the Lake" boat uplake. And when one is standing on the summit of Pyramid Mountain, Lake Chelan can be seen far below. There used to be a lookout on this summit until the
Forest Service went on their rampage to burn down all the old historic lookouts. Now there are only pieces of once molten glass from its windows as evidence. Thank goodness the Forest Service is now helping to preserve and restore some of the few that escaped destruction.
