After doing Amphitheater Mountain Roy and I abandon Edythe to her own devices and go off to climb Cathedral Peak. So up onto the west ridge we scramble then drop into a strange, upsloping cleft that runs along the top of the ridge. A short mantle gets one up out of the cleft for a step across move that has a lot of exposure. We break out the rope for this move and belay each other across the step onto a narrow ledge which leads back to the top of the ridge and becomes a wide ramp that goes up to the summit. A bit of an adrenalin rush on the step across but an easy climb overall.
